Let’s start with Hanifa. This cardigan is IT. I was beyond surprised that it was so warm. I love a knit as much as the next girl lacking in B12. But nowadays, knits aren’t always as warm as they look. The sleeves are nicely oversized, you can hide from your problems and hide your snacks. My only downfall in this particular look is that the cardigan is extra long. I’m 5’8 (173cm) and this cardigan was definitely meant to be worn with heels. The tassels at the end are so playful, but this dress is stunning and there’s no need to literally drag it through the mud. So grab some heels and get cozy with the perfect piece to warm up your winter wardrobe.
The brand’s Essentials line embraces the contrast of vibrant spring/summer collection colors paired with cozy winter clothing. Their customer team is kind and quick. That is literally the best combination.
My bra which peeks through almost like a tank top is from Gooseberry Intimates. It’s probably not what you are reading this post for so I’ll keep it short. Gooseberry Intimates has cute underwear sets at decent prices and they ship quickly. Period.
My belt I bought at a boutique in Vancouver, it was all very trendy, hefty markup and all. But the belt is by Rachel Comey, and it is the best waist belt I have ever purchased. I’m pretty confident this is with me until death. I love the drama of a thin waist so I always wear it as tight as it goes, and it never disappoints.
Finally, the shoes. Shoes are the make or break of any outfit. That’s not an opinion it is a fact. These I bought online from The RealReal. I paid less than half of the retail price of these bad boys. PSA: Fendi boots run about a half size smaller than standard US sizing (ie. whatever size of Nike’s you wear). These neoprene boots (both the ankle and the knee length) actually run a full size smaller than your standard US shoe size. They are tight so make sure to size up if you’re looking at this style. The RealReal has their own size guide, their measurements for one size do not correspond with the sizing chart on Fendi’s website. Sometimes they have sizing tips underneath an item so always double check. If not, you can trust in my tip of sizing up.
PSA: these shoes were made in Italy, they have zero grip on the bottom so either invest in some stick on grips for the bottom of keep these as a fall boot. They aren’t warm but I’d rather sacrifice some cold toes for an amazing look. But I repeat these are not your warm winter boot, they are your fall fashion fit. In other words, these are your New York, LA, or London winter boot, not your Canadian one.
Location: Lake Minnewanka, Canada
This lake is a Canadian favorite for skating in the winter (so long as it’s fully frozen) and a beautiful for a scenic stop in the summer. The water is glacier fed so it’s cold, but you won’t find views like this anywhere else.
