Y’all really thought I was going to start a blog during a pandemic without discussing loungewear? I would never.

Let’s start with the original loungewear item— sweatpants. Now, I wouldn’t say I hate sweatpants. But I’ve definitely never liked them. I’ve since found this outfit, and ones similar. Same cut, fancier fabric. It’s the perfect alternative for those of us who hate wearing our ugly sweatpants in public.

Don’t get me wrong, I still think you can create some killer looks with sweatpants and sweatsuits. But you can’t just throw it on willy nilly and expect a look. Nope. No. No, you cannot.

These pieces are created by one of my all time favorite designers, Laina Rauma. Her pieces always ooze sex appeal yet are fully functional. This combination is lacking in the fashion industry. Especially considering her clothing pieces are Unisex. Sex appeal and comfort for all.

This outfit is the definition of lounging in luxury. The feeling on your skin is a combination of butter and silk, in the best way (I mean who hates butter?). I’m wearing a size small. At 5’8 this is perfect, the pants are just baggy enough to have movement, and not so baggy that the back of the pant is constantly being stepped on. You know what I’m talking about. I’ve also worn the shirt here as a dress, it just covers my butt and is the perfect lazy going out outfit with some tights. If you’ve never worn a shirt as a dress, it’s a power move and I encourage anyone reading this to try it once.

For my guys reading, don’t be afraid to wear a full shirt and pant set in a vibrant color. I mean look how good this looks with some fresh sneakers, can you even imagine it with a bucket hat? The epitome of the perfect casual look. Trying to get comfy but still go out for a guys night? Grab some gold chains. I’ve got a gold belly chain here, but it’s just so you can see how good your own chains would look. But don’t sleep on the release drops. Restocks don’t happen. If you like it you buy it, otherwise you will just daydream of it.

Speaking of jewelry, the hoops I’m wearing are by Jenny Bird. Who is also Canadian. Her pieces are timeless yet trendy. Plus, if you like two-tone metals, Jenny Bird has got your back. Two tone is so great if you’re still building a collection and like things to match. If you need jewelry for an occasion, you can make it happen because this company ships orders super quick. Pick up some big hoops while you’re at it. Wearing big hoops casually is just such a power move. Try and change my mind. It won’t work.

Let’s talk shoes. White sneakers. This is a good look for… Every. Single. Person. Honestly that’s all I have to say about the shoes.

Now let’s talk people skills. Laina Rauma answers questions in her comments, if you’re being rude she will call you out. I love this. Oftentimes people can be so rude or so inconsiderate. I believe it is a healthy practice to let someone know that restocks aren’t happening because they use every inch of fabric they can for the initial drop. I wish this was the standard around the board in the fashion industry. Her customer service team always answers quickly and kindly.

I hope this blog post serves as a beacon of hope to everyone. You can be comfy and look good. You do not have to sacrifice one for the other. Not on my watch.

Location: Lonsdale Quay, Canada.
The sea bus station. I’ve spent many of my times in Vancouver getting the sea bus to North Vancouver. Lonsdale has some of the cutest shops, tastiest cafes, and best boutique fitness spots around. We’ll get there soon enough.
