Baggy pants have come in and out of style, as have neons. This weeks looks is the best of both of these! I’m bringing you two different ways to type baggy pants and neons.

I know we all typically think of the 1980’s for neons, but they made a comeback to Fashion Week Runways in 2018. While we aren’t seeing the neon trend return yet, bright colors are coming back to Fashion Weeks so we are well on our way there. Mark my words.

This first look is my take on a super popular take in street style fashion right now. Blazers paired with things that blazers haven’t been traditionally paired with. So here I have my staple blazer that I have worn to every job interview I have ever done with pyjama looking neon pants. We love a good contradiction in an outfit.

Underneath the blazer I have a lingerie one-piece from Victoria’s secret. This was actually the last piece I bought from that company before doing some research on their ‘business’ practices. It’s cute, but don’t worry, I have brands on brands that are far better.

To take the cook to a casual going out outfit, we have the heels. Sock boots are great for creating shape with a baggier pant, or for a not-quite-there boot look with any skirt. Here I am using them for the genie pant effect to balance out the looseness of the pants. It also helps give these pants more dimension where you can see the puff at the boot.

Second look with these neon baggy pants is more casual. Think, weekend coffee run. Or weekday, this look can really do it all. Paired with a top that was gifted to me by a friend (it’s from Aritzia). COLORBLOCK. I know. It feels weird until you actually put the clothing on your body. Then you get an outfit like this, just so chefs kiss.

A tight top with baggy pants may seem like fashion 101. But guys, it works. I paired this look with some crisp white sneakers because they keep the look polished, and avoid that whole lazy look. Baggy pants don’t have to look lazy if your sneakers are clean. There, I said it.

On that note of my bold statement, I digress.
